GHMC approves building plans, subdivision of plots and regularization of the structures within its jurisdiction. But citizens usually do not know the status of building plans and other matters.

This website gives the status of various applications immediately.

GHMC is planning to computerize the entire process of scrutinizing, processing and sanctioning of building plans, thereby allowing online tracking and monitoring of files. Approved building plans are being placed on the website for transparency and accountability.

GHMC also insists that every complex builder / owner must exhibit the approved plan with details showing elevation and section etc. for the general public which will purchase the flats/shops/office units, etc. in the said complexes.

In spite of several precautions by GHMC, owners / builders are violating their own undertakings resulting in several complaints from the public, especially from neighbours where the construction is under progress.
